Messaging Consent Policy
Effective Date: June 1, 2026
This policy describes how consent to receive text messages is obtained, recorded, and honored on the Bizfinite platform, consistent with TCPA, CTIA guidelines, and A2P 10DLC requirements.
1.How Consent Is Obtained
A customer may provide express consent to receive SMS through any of the following, each of which is logged:
- Checking an opt-in box on a web form, storefront, or order/quote page that links to these policies
- Providing their number to a Merchant in person or in writing
- Verbally agreeing during a phone call — recorded and stored alongside the call recording and transcript as evidence of consent
2.What We Record
For every consent we store an auditable record containing the timestamp, the consent source, the IP address (when available), the exact consent language presented, and the policy versions in effect.
3.Consent Is Not a Condition of Purchase
Customers are never required to consent to messaging in order to purchase goods or services.
4.Honoring Opt-Outs
STOP requests are processed immediately and permanently until the customer opts back in with START. Opted-out numbers are blocked from all outbound messaging platform-wide for that Merchant.
5.Required Disclosures
Every messaging program discloses: the program name, that message and data rates may apply, message frequency, and the STOP/HELP instructions. The first message in a conversation always includes the STOP/HELP disclosure.
6.Merchant Obligations
Merchants must only message customers who have provided valid consent, must not share consent across businesses, and must comply with the Acceptable Use Policy. Bizfinite disables messaging by default until a Merchant acknowledges these policies.
